Boater Safety Requirements (REGARDLESS OF WHEN YOU WERE BORN):

Since 2024: National B.A.S.S. requires Boater Safety Certification (any State) for ALL National Level Youth, College, and Adult Tournaments. This Season (2025) - MBN requires Boater Safety Certification for all Youth Division Boat Captains

Next Season (2026) – MBN will require Boater Safety Certification for ALL Youth, College and Adult Tournaments.

There is a cost associated with the certification.  MBN knows of no “free classes” at this time.  If you already have a boaters safety certificated (from any State), please keep a copy of the certificate on your person.  If you took Boater Safety in Michigan and cannot find your certificate you can go here and get a replacement – follow the instructions:
